Hi all,

I've just compiled openl2tp-1.6.tar.gz under Slax 6.1.2 (kernel v2.6.27.27) w/o any problems, but when I execute it as:
Code:
/usr/sbin/openl2tpd -D

it exits immediately w/o any errors or warnings, and apparently w/o even loading /etc/openl2tpd.conf.
There isn't even /var/run/openl2tpd.pid file; I suppose it gets deleted quickly as soon as openl2tpd exits.

Code:
modprobe pppol2tp
loads correctly.

Code:
/usr/sbin/pppd debug nodetach noauth plugin pppol2tp.so pppol2tp 42
shows exactly:
Code:
Plugin pppol2tp.so loaded.
Given FD for PPPoL2TP socket invalid (Bad file descriptor)

When openl2tpd gets executed, it suddenly exits.
Code:
tail -f /var/log/messages
shows:
Code:

Very strange.

What happens if you run openl2tpd in the foreground? i.e.

openl2tpd -D -f
